Christopher Coe collaborates with Harper Lake to create 'Dance on Water'

Christopher Coe finally releases the musical masterpiece ‘Dance on Water’, a track made in collaboration with the wonderful songstress Harper Lake (Golden Gate Band) over 5 years ago and one Coe has allowed to cook over time to create this beautiful piece that has touched live audiences around the world every time Coe plays it. 

Known for her emotive lyrics, vocalist, topliner and radio host Harper Lake found underground fame collaborating with the likes of NYTA, Hackman, Oris Jay and Fran. Now a founder member of Golden Gate, the Disco Express label’s latest signing, she can be found dueting her smash hit, all live, disco house originals with Adele Omotayo of Gorillaz on stages around the world.

This collaboration marks a departure for Coe from his normal dark atmospheric techno into a more melodic and warmer realm. While Dance on Water  still holds a deep atmosphere and, as usual, does not follow the current trends, the evocative vocal performance from Harper Lake and the melodic elements make for a beautiful and emotional track that really does work across any dance floor setting. With it’s early trance and progressive synth stylings at the climax of the track, this track really is a genre bend in the best of ways.

It reminds us of the halcyon days of deep house and progressive and yet transcends the genres nicely.

A deeply accessible track that should grace the set of many a different connoisseur !
